Due to our exclusive arrangements with leading professionals, you can now work with people who regularly create award-winning television & radio themes, national & international commercials, and other types of ‘audio branding’ (for major companies and radio/television shows in the UK, USA and beyond).
Anything from a short sonic logo through to a full orchestral theme recorded at a world-famous recording studio. Everything is possible.

Example Projects
Tech Radio is a long-running and top-rated weekly Podcast from the website ‘techcentral. ie’. This Podcast is also rebroadcast weekly on national radio in Ireland (RTE Radio 1 Extra).
In January 2023, Tech Radio was fast approaching its 1000th episode, and the show received a much-needed “audio makeover”.
Three is the magic number:
The completed music and branding package contains a stand-out three-note sonic logo woven into X3 custom music themes.
Three themes were created to reflect the three distinct sections of each episode of Tech Radio (the intro, a middle section which leads from the latest tech news into a weekly interview, and the closing section).
The robots are coming:
The final icing on the cake was the introduction of “Artemis”, an AI voiceover (really, this is not an actual human speaking!).

Chadwicks is Ireland’s leading builders’ merchanting company, with 50 stores and over 1,300 employees.
They wanted the ‘Under Construction’ podcast to have the same energy as a radio breakfast show.
BQ Podcast worked with award-winning audio producers and sound designers to create professional, energetic intros and other audio elements.
The result was an audio branding package featuring a strong male voiceover. It used relevant music for the target audience (builders, electricians, plumbers etc., listening in their vans) and was further enhanced with various construction-based sound effects.
This podcast went to the number 1 position on the Apple Podcast Charts and picked up two prestigious awards (Best Branded Podcast & Best Digital PR Campaign).

What does it cost?
Many variables make having a rate card for custom music and audio branding impossible. However, we can offer you some average guide prices as follows:
- High-quality custom audio branding packages (voiceovers and existing music) generally cost between £500 & £1000 + VAT.
- Custom music tracks (music written specifically for your Podcast series) start from £1000 + VAT.
- The final price depends on several factors, including the voiceovers used and/or the style of music you commission.
It’s worth noting that if you spent, for example, £1000 + VAT on a branding package for your podcast, and you create 24 episodes of your podcast series over two years, your cost “per episode” would be around £42 + VAT. Publish weekly? the cost per episode comes down to less than £10 + VAT!
Do I own the audio branding/music once it is created?
No, you are granted a synchronisation license for two years. The copyright in the work remains with BQ Podcast and/or its affiliates.
This means you can use the audio branding/music within any of your podcast episodes with no limit for two years. You can renew your license annually after the initial period for 25% of the original cost.
If you have commissioned music and wish to use this in several different podcasts, this must be agreed upon in advance.
Don’t worry; the licences we issue are straightforward, and we are happy to explain everything.
What if I stop making new episodes of my podcast but earlier episodes remain online?
No problem!
The licence is for synchronisation (recording the music and/or branding into your podcast), so there will be no additional licensing fees if you are not making new episodes.
I produce podcasts for other people, can I commission a music or branding package from you?
Yes!
Can we used custom music created for our podcast in other places?
Yes, and this is highly recommended!
Using your signature sound in multiple scenarios is a great idea.
Subject to negotiation and a relevant license, the custom music and/or audio branding created for your podcast can be cleared for use in videos, adverts (TV, cinema, radio & online), as on-hold music and more.
Is it worth it?
We believe commissioning a custom music and/or audio branding package for a podcast series makes a huge difference to the finished product.
This is especially true when considering just how many podcasts are available now, all trying to grab listeners’ attention.
Professional music and audio branding will play a significant role in creating the character of your podcast and aid with the flow. It helps listeners feel they have chosen a quality program.
It’s also comforting to know that the sound of your podcast is unique and will not appear anywhere else!
